Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Roswell, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other week (EOW)
Schedule: Block scheduling may be accommodated if days vary week to week
Unit: General Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) with some post-op ortho and general surgery patients
Patient Ratio: Typically 1:6, occasionally up to 1:7
Floating: Required to float as needed, rarely; may float to ICU for Med Surg overflow or Step Down patients
Call: Call required but rarely needed; no additional call pay; call may be scheduled on regular shifts if census requires

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience
• Current RN license valid in New Mexico
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Fingerprints required for all New Mexico travelers (agency must be registered with the state for fingerprint processing)

Additional Information

• Scrubs color: Royal Blue
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems used: Cerner, Mindray Telemetry System
• 48-hour guarantees may be accommodated (must be specified in submission)
• No intrinsic call requirements for Med Surg; call only if census dictates
• Staff must be flexible to float to other areas as appropriate
