Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Unit: Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift Hours: 36 hours per week (7 PM - 7 AM)

Unit Overview

26 beds with a staff of 15 nurses per shift
Night shift staffing: 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 Patient Care Tech
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
Equipment includes balloon pumps, CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), hypothermia devices
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Coronary Care Unit (CCU), including experience within the last year
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience with Meditech EMR system
Previous travel experience in large facility ICU units

Typical Procedures and Skills

Management of heart catheterizations
Use of balloon pumps and CRRT
Hypothermia protocol management
Cardioversion
Central line care
Administration of medication drips
