Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit Size: 12 beds
- Staff: 40 total
- Shifts:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, 1 clerk, 1 PCT
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, 1 PCT
- Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
- Equipment: Vitals machines, rolling workstations
- EMR Systems: CPN & Meditech
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN experience, with OB/GYN experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Post Partum/Mother Baby experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Antepartum experience
- RNC-OB or RNC-MNN certification
Typical Procedures on Unit
- Blood/Iron transfusions
- Bladder scans
Work Environment
- Floating Area: Labor and Delivery
- Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs
- Schedule: Rotating weekends, no on-call
