Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Med Surg Telemetry experience to provide quality healthcare in a Level III Trauma Center. The position involves working on a medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring, serving patients of all ages.

Unit Information

• Unit: Medical Surgical Combination (Med Surg Telemetry)
• Shift: See shift details (typically 36 guaranteed hours per week)
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Float Requirements: Possible float to similar med/surg units
• Patient Population: All ages
• Equipment: Omnicell medication dispensing system
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• HWC certification
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff

Work Environment

• 167-bed healthcare facility with Level III Trauma Center status
• Fully accredited and governed by a local board of trustees
• Provides care to Gallatin, Hendersonville, and surrounding areas

Notes

• Weekend and call shifts are required on an as-needed basis
• Opportunity to float to similar medical-surgical units may be required
