Work Schedule

• Approximately 36 hours per week
• Day shift hours primarily (typical shifts: 7 AM - 5 PM; some flexibility with 11 AM - 9 PM or 3 PM - 11 PM shifts)
• Call required

Unit Information

• Operating Room with 14 ORs
• Staff includes 70 full-time employees
• Day shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN and 1 Surgical Technician (ST) per OR, plus Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Anesthesia Technicians (ATs), and Trauma team
• Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, 1 ST
• Patient ratio approximately 1:1 (estimated)
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
• Procedures performed: all general OR procedures except Cardiovascular OR (CVOR), Neurosurgery, and Transplants

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
• Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Recent Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification
• DORA certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• HHCCA - De-escalation Skills in a healthcare setting
