Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room

Location: Salem, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Number of OR Suites: 2
• Staffing: 6 total (3 RNs, 3 CSTs)
• Shift: Day shift only
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
• Dress Code: Light blue scrubs (provided)
• Floating Areas: Operating Room (OR)
• Call Requirements: Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required

Typical Procedures Performed

• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• Thoracotomy
• Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (Endo AAA) repair
• Valve Replacement
• Pacemaker implantation

Required Qualifications

• Valid CVOR Technologist license in Virginia
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience required
