Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Location: Longview, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Role: Physical Therapist

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: As needed

Facility & Unit Information

• Unit: Physical Therapy Department
• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 5 to 6 patients per therapist
• Patient Population: Geriatric and adult patients
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments:

  • Neurological conditions: CVA (stroke), Parkinson’s disease, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
  • Orthopedics
  • Cardiopulmonary conditions
  • Amputee care
  • Medically complex patients
• Equipment: Therapeutic equipment available
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Wellsky

Requirements

• Licensure & Certifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or related field
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in physical therapy (preferred in all aspects but not strictly required)
• Skills:

  • Ability to assess patient needs and initiate appropriate physical therapy interventions
  • Responsible for overseeing care provided by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy techs
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English (additional languages preferred but not required)
  • Cooperative team player with a desire to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment
