Job Opportunity: RN - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel)
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Shift: Days, 7 AM - 7 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the assigned units. The RN ensures quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with unit standards. The role requires professionalism, respect, and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases in certain patient care areas
- Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment
- Ability to handle emergency/crisis situations
- Prolonged standing and walking; heavy physical effort required for positioning, pushing, or transferring patients and equipment
- Physical abilities include reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, good visual and hearing acuity, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination
Additional Information
- On-call requirement: 1-2 weekends per month (8-10 days per month)
- No floating requirement to other locations
This position is ideal for an RN with at least 1 year of specialty experience in cardiac cath lab nursing, who is licensed in New Mexico or holds a compact RN license, and is comfortable working day shifts with some weekend on-call duties.
