Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Number of Rooms: 4
• Staffing:

  • 8 Full-time staff currently (optimal 12)
  • Day Shift: RNs and Techs, minimum 3 staff per room in various combinations
  • Night Shift: On-call only, 4-person team always available
• Patient Ratios: 1 patient per team of 3-4 staff
• Equipment Used:

  • GE X-ray equipment
  • Impella, IABP, Atherectomy
  • IVUS/OCT, FFR/RFR
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR):

  • Maclab for case charting
  • Meditech for facility documentation

Job Description

• This is a Cath Lab opening requiring immediate scrubbing of Cath, EP, and Peripheral procedures starting Day 1.
• Typical procedures include:

  • Cardiac Cath cases (Permcath, fistula)
  • Electrophysiology (device implantation, ablation, Watchman procedures)
  • Peripheral angiograms
• Note: No neuro IR procedures performed on this unit.

Required Skills & Experience

• Must have experience scrubbing cardiac cath cases and STEMI call.
• Must hold ARRT or RCIS certification with cath lab experience.
• Ability to scrub and/or monitor cath lab cases is required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience scrubbing Interventional Radiology (IR) and Electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
• Experience with Maclab monitoring.

Certifications Required

• ARRT Certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Work Schedule & Call

• Call is required with alternating weekends.
• Approximately 14-15 days per month on call.
• Candidates should submit any no-call requests prior to contract start.

Additional Information

• Floating may be required to other local partner hospital cath labs for turnover, patient transport, and other procedural support.
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital.
