Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry Unit (Night Shift) - Nashville, TN

Job Details

• Location: Nashville, Tennessee
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Unit: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele)
• Float Requirement: Must float to other MS/Tele units including forensics and inpatient units
• Patient Population: Must be comfortable working with the prison population

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association, valid throughout assignment
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification, valid throughout assignment
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification, valid throughout assignment

• Local and first-time travelers are accepted at the same rate
• Must be willing to float to multiple units including forensic and inpatient settings
• Must carry government-issued photo ID during shifts
• Must complete all required documentation and certifications prior to start
• Must be comfortable working with a prison population

This position requires a dedicated RN with at least one year of experience, night shift availability, and the ability to work in diverse and sometimes challenging environments including forensic units and with incarcerated patients. Compliance with extensive credentialing, health, and competency requirements is mandatory.
