Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40


Job Description

  • May be assigned to an Emergency Team during emergency events, requiring staying at the facility until the event passes or serving as part of a relief team.
  • On-call required with a 30-minute response time.
  • Scrub experience required.
  • Neuro Interventional Radiology (Neuro IR) experience required.
  • Candidates with 1 year of experience must have both neuro and scrub experience; otherwise, a minimum of 2 years of experience is required.

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Louisiana.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
  • Scrub experience.

Certifications

  • ACLS (AHA or RQI accepted) required; renewal must be completed if expiring within 30 days of start.
  • BLS (AHA or RQI accepted) required; renewal must be completed if expiring within 30 days of start.
  • National certification verification relevant to Radiology Technologist required within 30 days of start and updated annually. Renewal must be in process if expiring within 30 days.

Additional Requirements

  • Skills checklist updated annually.
  • Competency exam specific to specialty required within 1 year prior to start, minimum 80% score, updated annually.
  • Color blind testing required annually for lab staff (if applicable).
  • Photo for badge: full color, passport-style, taken within last 6 months with plain background, no obstructions or filters, uploaded within 24 hours of booking.
  • Employment application/resume required with 7 years of employment history and explanations for gaps.
