Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVICU

Location: Hazard, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 or 4 shifts per week), 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience required.
Experience with fresh heart transplant patients is mandatory.
Patient ratio typically 1:2.
Use of Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Float within scope of practice required.
Work schedule includes every other weekend.
Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
Must reside within 75 miles of the facility.
Orientation occurs bi-weekly.
Start date on job is the required start date.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
Minimum of 2 years of Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience, with CVICU experience within the last year.
Experience with fresh heart transplant patients.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
