Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description

• Specialty: Surgical Services
• Required experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• Must have experience with heart and lung transplants
• Level 2 experience required; Level 1 experience preferred
• Experience with trauma cases required
• Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist
• CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
• Current, valid license appropriate for CVOR Tech role
• BLS certification required

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 1 year of start, updated annually, including:

  • County criminal background search (last 7 years)
  • National criminal and sex offender searches
  • FACIS III and education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated annually
• Education verification required; official transcript or diploma may be accepted temporarily
• Employment verification covering 7 years required, with gaps over 30 days explained
• Two supervisor references required, verified within 6 months of start
• Signed facility-specific non-clinical agreements (Acceptable Use Policy, Confidentiality Agreement, Electronic Communications Policy, Password Policy) required prior to start

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, or PA, confirming good health and ability to perform job duties
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (specific acceptable mask types required)
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, updated annually; rapid drug screens not accepted
• Immunizations/vaccinations required with annual updates or valid exemptions:

  • TDAP (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray with annual renewal for positives
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or 2 vaccines, booster if equivocal/negative
  • Hepatitis B: positive titer, series, or declination (annual renewal)
  • Varicella: positive titer or 2 vaccines, booster if equivocal/negative
  • Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required year-round with exemptions accepted
  • COVID initial vaccine series or medical/religious exemption required; booster preferred but not mandatory

Additional Notes

• Candidates must renew all expiring documents prior to clearance if expiration occurs during the assignment
• EKG exam must be completed within the first week of booking; failure to pass after two attempts results in cancellation
• Candidates are responsible for notifying appropriate personnel if PAPR equipment is needed and delayed
• Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position
