Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 6 weeks (43 days ≈ 6 weeks)
- Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Assignment Duration: August 3, 2026 (report date) through May 21, 2027 (end date)
- Student Age Range: Preschool through High School
Required Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies) certification for Colorado
Orientation and Start Dates
- Summer Symposium New Hire Orientation: July 27-31
- All employees report to work sites: August 3
- Students start: August 11
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 1 year of start date, updated annually, covering last 7 years of residency/work/school locations
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required annually
- Fingerprint clearance attestation required annually; fingerprinting through Colorado CBI/FBI results accepted
- Candidates with any convictions related to crimes involving children are not permitted on district property or access to district information
- District-specific agreements and confidentiality forms must be completed prior to start
Health and Safety Requirements
- COVID-19: Face masks required; vaccination not required
- Physical exam, TB testing, and other immunizations (measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, varicella) only required if specified by client or state
- Drug testing only required if specifically requested by client
- Flu vaccination only required if specified by client

- Valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID)
- Tax documents (W4, state-specific W4 if applicable, permanent tax declaration, direct deposit authorization)
- Emergency contact information
- Arbitration agreement (annual renewal)

- License and certification verifications (initial and re-verified 30 days prior to start)
- Facility-specific documents including district access agreement, contingent worker information, and confidentiality agreement
Additional Notes
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests are not required unless requested by the client
- Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certifications such as ASHA are not required for this OT position
- Prior travel experience is not specified as a requirement for this role
