Overview

Travel/Contract role in Winston Salem, North Carolina
12-hour nights, 3x12 schedule
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Locals accepted

Unit Details

Mixed acuity unit with PCU and MS/Tele patients
Target ratio: 1:4-5; in extreme situations, 1:6
48 beds
Float requirement: required to float to like units
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Unit can accommodate block scheduling when unit needs are met
Unit orientation: 24 hours

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
IV insertion skills
Experience with mechanical ventilation
Experience with CPAP
Experience with BiPAP
Experience with interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
