Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Bellevue, Washington Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology Employment Type: Travel/Contract Start: ASAP (starts 12/7 or 12/14) Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Day shift, 4x10 hours (7:00 to 17:30, or 6:00 to 16:30)
• 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Call typically 6-7 shifts per month, including a call weekend every 4th weekend (Friday 17:30 to Monday 07:00)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Washington
• Cath Lab Technologist experience of 2 years, with experience within the last year
• Experience working with cardiac patients
• Experience with Epic
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or RQI
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or RQI
• State license verification (primary source); hard copy of license preferred, not required
• Government-issued photo ID
• Social Security number (card not needed)
• Copy of employment application
• Two satisfactory references from previous employers within the last year, including evaluation of clinical competency and reliability; references must be from a manager or supervisor (charge RNs accepted)
• Background check covering all locations lived, worked, or attended school in the past 7 years, including SSN trace, Washington county and statewide searches, federal, nationwide, and national sex offender searches (international if applicable)
• Washington WSP/WATCH search results and Washington Courts search results (signed and timestamped)
• Competency exam, score of 85% or higher
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam (RNs)
• Patient restraints competency exam (all except SPTs)
• Core Parts I, II, and III, completed annually, score of 85% or higher (sections can be remediated to bring the average to 85%)
• OSHA Mandatory training, completed annually, score of 85% or higher
• CMS Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) training, completed annually, with proof of completion (certification from fraudwasteandabusetraining.com accepted)
• Health requirements: physical exam within 1 year of start; negative TB test (QuantiFERON, T-SPOT, or 2 PPDs within 1 year of start, or a positive-test workup if applicable); measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella titers or 2 vaccines (1 booster if titer is negative or equivocal); hepatitis B titer, proof of series, or declination; 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; annual flu vaccine or declination
• Signed Code of Conduct, Applicant Disclosure Statement, Confidentiality Policy, and Internet Usage Agreement
• Review of Appearance and Dress Code policy

Preferred

• Tdap vaccine (highly preferred) or declination

Additional Information

• Modules are assigned after orientation and must be completed as soon as possible, with a one-week window; candidates not finished by their deadline may be removed from the schedule.
