Job Description

• Position requires an RT (Radiology Technologist) licensed by IEMA and AART.
• Experience in cath lab required; interventional radiology (IR) experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be comfortable working with Siemens equipment.
• Proficiency with MacLab recording system is preferred.
• Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
• On-call duty starts at 3:30 PM, approximately 7-10 days per month including every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
• Must complete labs (including drug screening) within 72 hours of signing the contract; failure to do so may result in contract cancellation.

Licensure & Certifications

• Required Licenses:

  • IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency)
  • AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • Other certifications as applicable based on unit assignment

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 30 days prior to start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, including SSN trace, national criminal database, global terrorist search, sex offender registry, alias search, and FACIS Level 3.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
• Fingerprinting via Illinois Health Care Worker Registry required for patient-facing candidates without an Illinois state license.
• Mandatory reporting training for Illinois clinical patient-facing positions.
• Employment application must include 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming fitness to work without restrictions.
• Drug testing: 9-panel test within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), must include nitrate and creatinine levels.
• Immunizations and titers required (with time-sensitive completion within 2 business days of contract signing):

  • TB screening (Qgold/TSPOT or PPD) and questionnaire
  • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer (vaccine or declination form if negative)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive IgG titer
  • Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive IgG titer
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (valid within 10 years)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption for 2025-2026 season
• COVID-19 vaccine is not mandated but documentation is encouraged.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete orientation safety manual acknowledgement.
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required for applicable clinical staff.
• Skills checklist and competency exams required and must be updated annually.
• Facility-specific forms and documentation (e.g., TB positive MD letter, Hep B declination, flu exemption form) must be completed as applicable.

Work Environment

• Facility uses Siemens radiology equipment.
• Call schedule includes evenings and every other weekend.
• Candidate must be able to comply with all facility and state-specific regulatory and health requirements.
