Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (Pediatrics) - Travel/Contract

Job Description

Provide clinical care for pediatric patients with feeding and eating difficulties.
Experience required in assessment and treatment of pediatric patients with sensory and mild oral motor feeding/eating difficulties.
Pediatric outpatient experience required.
Experience with feeding techniques, autism, and sensory diet programs preferred.
Experience in a children’s hospital setting preferred but not required.
No on-call requirements; call-off allowed based on census.
Team meetings once a month on Tuesday (optional attendance).

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy (highest required years of experience).
Must have current California OT License.
Certification: NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required).

ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, and other certifications are not required for this role but may be preferred or required for other specialties.

Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity (positive titer or 2 vaccines).
- Hepatitis B series or titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season.
Drug testing: Negative 9-panel non-THC drug screen within 30 days of start.
Fit mask test for N95 masks within 1 year.
Badge photo meeting specific requirements.
Completion of facility-specific forms including HIPAA, confidentiality, code of conduct, and professional accountability.
References: 2 supervisory references verified within 1 year of start from clinical leadership (director, supervisor, or manager).

Additional Notes

No local candidates accepted.
Return to office (RTO) restrictions: maximum 6 days.
Guaranteed hours after call-off policy is met.
Team meeting attendance is optional with schedule adjustment.
Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
