Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (Pediatrics) - Travel/Contract
Location: Oceanside, California

Shift: 4x10 hour days (08:00-18:30) on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Tuesday off)

Job Description
- Provide clinical care for pediatric patients with feeding and eating difficulties.
- Experience required in assessment and treatment of pediatric patients with sensory and mild oral motor feeding/eating difficulties.
- Pediatric outpatient experience required.
- Experience with feeding techniques, autism, and sensory diet programs preferred.
- Experience in a children’s hospital setting preferred but not required.
- No on-call requirements; call-off allowed based on census.
- Team meetings once a month on Tuesday (optional attendance).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in pediatric occupational therapy (highest required years of experience).
- Must have current California OT License.
- Certification: NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required).
Certifications & Licenses
- California OT License (mandatory)
- NBCOT Certification (mandatory)
- BLS (mandatory)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, and other certifications are not required for this role but may be preferred or required for other specialties.
Special Requirements
- Pediatric outpatient experience.

- Sensory diet program experience.
- Children’s hospital experience preferred.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Valid photo ID (front and back) required at start.
- Background checks within 30 days of start, including criminal and education verifications.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming good health without restrictions.
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity (positive titer or 2 vaccines).
- Hepatitis B series or titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season.
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel non-THC drug screen within 30 days of start.
- Fit mask test for N95 masks within 1 year.
- Badge photo meeting specific requirements.
- Completion of facility-specific forms including HIPAA, confidentiality, code of conduct, and professional accountability.
- References: 2 supervisory references verified within 1 year of start from clinical leadership (director, supervisor, or manager).
Additional Notes
- No local candidates accepted.
- Return to office (RTO) restrictions: maximum 6 days.
- Guaranteed hours after call-off policy is met.
- Team meeting attendance is optional with schedule adjustment.
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
