Job Details

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Physical Therapist)
• Schedule:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week (4x10hr), 07:30 AM - 6:00 PM
  • One Saturday shift per month in inpatient/acute rehab (with a weekday off that week)
  • Flexible scheduling available (option for five 8-hour shifts instead of four 10-hour shifts)
• Patient Ratios: 1 therapist to 4 patients
• Caseload: Primarily adults and geriatrics, occasional pediatrics and adolescents
• Patient Diagnoses: Joint replacements, CVA, pain, fractures, neurological conditions, deconditioning, vestibular issues
• Unit Description:

  • Main PT position in outpatient clinic
  • Supported by seasoned PTAs
  • Evaluation time: 1 hour; treatment time: 45 minutes
  • Other therapy services on site include Speech Therapy (ST) and Occupational Therapy (OT)
• Charting System: Cerner

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only, must be current before start
• Licensure:

  • West Virginia Physical Therapist license required prior to start
  • Pending state license accepted but must have WV license before starting
• First-timers: Accepted

Additional Information

• Flu Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) unless medically exempt with documentation
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required
• Dress Code: Scrubs allowed in any color except blue, forest green, or maroon (reserved for nursing)
• Orientation: Two-day orientation (Thursday and Friday) including Cerner Infusion Management training
• References: Minimum 1 reference from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse within the past year
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
  • Includes SSN trace, county, sex offender, national, and international searches if applicable
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year, stating good health and no limitations
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months
  • Required immunizations or titers: MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap
  • Annual fit mask testing (N95) required
  • Drug screen within 30 days of start
• Documentation: Must provide driver's license, social security card, residency declaration (if applicable), and specialty-specific skills checklist
• Work Environment: Located near outdoor recreational areas (hiking, rafting, mountain climbing)
