Job Description
- Must be able to scrub cardiac and endovascular cases.
- Level I Trauma experience required.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, On Call required.
Unit Caseload Includes:
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
- Aortic valve replacements
- Mitral valve repair/replacements
- Tricuspid valve repair/replacements
- VAD (Ventricular Assist Device)
- Aortic dissections
Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Surgical Services (CVOR Tech)

Background & Compliance Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- MA Statewide (iCORI) Release (updated annually)
- 7-year Criminal Background Check within 30 days of start (annual update required)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks if run separately
- Education Verification (highest completed education)
- Sex Offender Search (for subcontractors if run separately)
- Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search (for all candidates in MA)
- Massachusetts Statewide iCORI Clearance (within 30 days prior to start)
Health & Immunization Requirements
Physical Exam (within 12 months of start) with physician statement of fitness
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray (2 PPDs or QuantiFERON/T-Spot within 90 days)
TB Questionnaire (required for all candidates)
Immunizations or Declinations (declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU):
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination or facility-specific declination (most recent vaccine required)
Drug Testing (within 30 days of start) covering multiple panels including Amphetamines, Cocaine, Opiates, Fentanyl, etc.
Additional Requirements
- 2 References within three years of start
- Employment Application including 7 years of employment history and explanation of gaps over 30 days
- Skills Checklist (required prior to start and updated annually)
