Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Level 3 Trauma Center
Staffed Beds: 171
Shift: Night, 3 shifts of 12 hours each (3x12s)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No holiday RTO; maximum 5 total days off in 13-week assignment. No additional RTO after contract submission or while working.

Required Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (NICU experience preferred)
  • License: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) license required
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)
  • Charting System: EPIC experience preferred

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Background check within 30 days of start, including a 7-year criminal search across all counties worked in the last 7 years
  • Copy of diploma or transcript required (unofficial transcripts acceptable if graduation date is listed)
  • Primary source verification of state license prior to start
  • Unit-specific competency exam required
  • Physical exam within one year of start, stating "cleared to work" with physician's signature
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start (with additional requirements if prior positive)
  • Required immunizations or titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Drug test within 30 days of start (10-panel, negative results)
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – May 1)
  • Two professional references required prior to start
  • Work history verification for last 3 years (attestations acceptable; can be pending at start)
  • Annual skills checklist and performance evaluation (if applicable)

Additional Information

  • Attendance policy is strict: any missed scheduled shift counts as unexcused; 2 missed shifts result in a warning, 3 or more may lead to cancellation
  • Must complete facility-required Oracle and WorkRamp training modules prior to start
  • Badge photo required before start (plain white background, no filters)
  • Confidentiality agreement, job description acknowledgment, and code of conduct must be signed prior to start

This position offers a structured night shift schedule with guaranteed hours and weekend work every other week, ideal for respiratory therapists with at least one year of experience and the required certifications. First-time travel therapists are welcome.
