Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work schedule: Days
- Must be competent in PET and Nuclear Medicine (general nuclear medicine, no cardiac)
- Equipment used: Siemens PET CT, Siemens and Phillips nuclear medicine cameras
- Rotation includes weeks of on-call for emergency cases
- Open to first-time travelers
- No minimum years of experience required
Requirements/Qualifications
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 1 year of experience
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- NMTCB certification
- Competent in PET
Required Certifications
- NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board)
- PET certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as applicable
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as applicable
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as applicable
- CHEMO certification as applicable
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) as applicable
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) as applicable
Required Licenses
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Tech license as per state requirements
Prior Travel Experience
- Not required (unit welcomes first-time travelers)
Additional Requirements
- Scrubs: Royal Blue or Khaki
- Must complete a 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Education verification required (highest level must be verified)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
- Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Competency exams and color blindness testing as applicable
- Photo for badge required
Compliance and Documentation
- I9 verification
- Driver’s license/state ID
- E-Verify
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
- Fingerprinting (if applicable by state)
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment and HIPAA compliance
- Skills checklist and work history verification (7 years)
