Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics RRT (Travel/Contract)
Location: Lansing, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Patient Population: Pediatric and Adult critical care experience required
- Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, night shift
- Start Date: ASAP
- First-time travelers: Not accepted (prior travel experience required)
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
Experience Requirements
- Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
- Prior Travel Experience: Required (first-timers not accepted)
Certifications Required
- State Respiratory Therapist License (Michigan)
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) by American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- CRTT (Certified Respiratory Therapist - Technician)
Work Setting Experience
- Emergency Room (ER)
- Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Respiratory Care Skills Required
- Airway Management
- Medication Administration
- Ventilator Management
- Oxygen Therapy
- Suctioning
- Pulmonary Toileting
- Nebulizer Treatments
- BiPAP and CPAP
Polysomnography / Sleep Studies Experience
- Oxygen Saturation monitoring
Equipment Experience
- Servo I ventilators
- Hamilton G5 ventilators
Scheduling & Hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours for 3 shifts (3x12 hr)
- Locals accepted; no local radius rule
- No block scheduling accommodation
Facility Type

- Magnet recognized, Teaching hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center
- Total Staffed Beds: 632
- Charting system: Epic (experience required)
Additional Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year history, criminal, sex offender, and education verification
- Drug screening (10-panel with THC) within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months, including latex sensitivity noted
- Immunizations and health documents required: Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB test or questionnaire, seasonal flu vaccination or declination
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
- Facility-specific orientation and safety modules required prior to or at orientation

- Pending licenses are not accepted
- Respiratory therapists must submit Return to Office (RTO) restrictions at profile submission
