Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Roanoke, Virginia

Assignment Details

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks (standard)
  • Extended Contract: Travelers may request 14 to 26 weeks if desired
  • Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
  • Alternative Shift: 4x12 hour shifts available upon request
  • Unit: To be determined based on facility need after clinical evaluation
  • Patient Ratio: Currently 1:5 in PCU, goal is 1:4
  • Floating: All travelers expected to float as needed within their acuity level

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7-year background check within 1 year of start (not required annually unless gap >30 days)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
  • Education verification or transcript/diploma for highest earned degree
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming freedom from communicable diseases
  • Fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually (not required for students)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Required immunizations or positive titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or declination form during flu season
  • 2 clinical references required
  • Completed employment application/resume
  • Annual skills checklist update
