Location: Clinton, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details

- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Minimum Experience: 2 years
- Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
- Float Requirement: Must float to like units (e.g., Mom/Baby) before permanent staff
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend/holiday as needed
- 36-hour contract call required: 24 hours over a 6-week period; must be on premises within 45 minutes of call
- Schedule: No guaranteed set schedule
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
- Total Staffed Beds: 338
- Charting System: Cerner

Required Certifications
- C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) through NCC (AWHONN acceptable as placeholder but must register for C-EFM course)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC certified
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) if working in ED or Pediatrics (may be unit dependent)
- State Nursing License (Maryland)
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Circulate, FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring), preceptor and/or charge nurse experience
- Triage experience preferred
- High-risk Labor & Delivery experience
Requirements and Compliance
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
- Criminal background check within 90 days, including multi-state searches and education verification
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), updated annually
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual updates if history positive)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) documentation or titers
- Varicella documentation or titers
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccination strongly recommended; declination requires mask use during patient encounters
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete on-site)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam within 3 years, minimum 80% score
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for certain specialties, with remediation if needed
- Color blindness testing (online or in-person) required
- Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgement
Additional Notes
- Must complete facility-specific modules (SITELS) prior to start date
- Photo for badge required (clear, well-lit, no shadows, solid background)
- Must be able to drive if driving is an essential job function (valid driver's license required)
- Must be able to respond to contract call within 45 minutes on-site
- Must be willing to float to similar units as needed
