Job Description
- Open to first-time travelers.
- Requires 2 years of experience.
- Call required with a 30-minute response time.
- Work involves basic scans related to stroke and cardiac care.
- Facility is a freestanding Emergency Department (ED) with outpatient and primary care services.
- Outpatient services available until 8 PM; after 8 PM to 7 AM, only ED services are available.
Imaging Requirements
- X-Ray Required: Extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, fluoroscopy studies, lower and upper extremities.
- Preferred: Enema studies, surgery/c-arm, Shimatzu-Xray.
Work Environment & Patient Population
- Independent worker with excellent customer service skills.
- Collaborative work with Emergency Department staff.
- Patient age groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics.
- Work settings: Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department.
Equipment & Skills
- Equipment: GE, PACS.
- Imaging: Abdomen and Pelvis (with/without contrast), Chest (with/without contrast), Head and Neck (with/without contrast).
- Special Procedures: Brain perfusion, Coronary CTA, CT arthrography, Myelography, Transplant studies, Vascular CTA.
- Spine and Musculoskeletal: Cervical, Lumbar, Thoracic.
- Professional skills: Preparation and administration of contrast media, starting peripheral IVs.
- Preferred image display/post-processing skill: Multiplanar reconstruction (MPR).
Certifications Required
- ARRT, ARRT RT (R) (CT)
- BLS
- Washington State License (WA LIC)
Charting System
- EPIC
Dress Code
- Professional scrubs, no logos, in good condition.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Background Checks & Verifications
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
- Education verification required for all candidates.
- State-specific searches including WA State Patrol Search and OBRA Registry Search for CNAs.
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years (6 months for CNAs).
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years.
Health Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start.
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) required for travel candidates.
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or declination forms accepted:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Hepatitis B (vaccination or signed declination)
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- Flu seasonal vaccination (required during flu season; declination accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
- Respirator safety clearance required annually for travel candidates.
Skills & Competency Exams
- Medication test/pharmacology competency as applicable.
- Competency exams required by profession/specialty.
- Color blind testing if required by unit.
- Specialty-specific competency exams (e.g., Medication Aide exam for CNAs in LTC Oregon facilities).
Training & Modules
- Completion of Providence WorkRamp modules required prior to start, including:
- Core modules for profession.
- Specialty-specific modules for ER, L&D, leadership roles.
- Annual regulatory modules.
- EPIC training modules required with transcript submission.
- Float policy acknowledgment required (may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance).
Additional Notes
- Candidates from other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible if separated for at least 3 months.
- Active compact licenses are honored at all Swedish facilities.
- Independent, collaborative, and customer-service oriented mindset is essential.
- This position requires call availability with a 30-minute response time.
