Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse

Job Description

• Orientation includes a mandatory medication exam (pass/fail) with only one attempt allowed. Failure to pass results in immediate contract cancellation. Study materials will be provided.
• Schedule: Primarily 7 AM to 3 PM shifts, with occasional 3 PM to 11 PM shifts as needed. Workweek is 5 days, 8 hours each.
• Work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
• Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid government-issued ID.
• Statewide background checks and clearances including iCORI release.
• Education verification or transcript confirming graduation date.
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions.
• Immunizations or valid declinations for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
  • Influenza (seasonal vaccine or declination required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination (most recent vaccine required)
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable, plus TB questionnaire.
• Drug screening within 30 days of start date.
• Employment application covering 7 years of work history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
• Two professional references within the last three years.
• Skills checklist updated annually as applicable.

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Candidates must be prepared for pass/fail testing on medication competency during orientation.
• Weekend and holiday work is scheduled every other week.
