Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday - Friday, On Call required
Travel Radius: Local rate within 90 miles


Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse for Cath Lab with travel/contract assignment. The role requires availability Monday through Friday with on-call duties.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
  • Minimum of 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
  • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for Cath Lab nurses; must pass within 30 days of start and updated annually)
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (must pass with 80% or higher within 30 days of start)
  • Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing policy
  • Pass/Fail Testing for EKG and Medication exams (candidates allowed two attempts; third attempt possible with approval)
  • Verification of State License 1
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport).
  • I9 or Attestation form.
  • E-Verify or Attestation.
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG within 30 days of start.
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start.
  • Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (no rapid screens).
  • Immunizations and health requirements:
    • Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) vaccine required.
    • Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; chest X-ray and questionnaire if positive.
    • Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella.
    • Hepatitis B vaccine series and positive titer or signed declination form.
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season.
  • Photo for badge (passport style).
  • Completion of facility-specific forms including job description acknowledgment and security forms prior to start.
  • Two professional references within the last 3 years.

Additional Information

  • Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation; can be done prior to start.
  • Candidates must comply with all competency exams and certifications as outlined.
  • On-call availability is required.
