Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 10-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday (06:45 AM – 5:30 PM)
• 7-10 call shifts per month

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in California
• Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) certification
• ARRT radiology fluoroscopy permit (Fluoro)

Licensure

• Must hold a valid California license appropriate for the Interventional Radiology specialty

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
• ARRT rad fluoro permit
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is not required for this role
• NIH Stroke Certification is required and must be valid for the length of the assignment

Experience

• Minimum years of specialty experience: Not explicitly stated, but IR experience is required (implying relevant prior experience in Interventional Radiology)
• No prior travel experience required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of W4 and I9 on file
• 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, county, state, federal, and national criminal and sex offender searches
• HHS/OIG clearance required
• Transcript/Diploma if applicable
• Primary source license verification within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, with annual updates if positive history
• Tdap vaccine (no declinations accepted)
• Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (2 vaccines or titer with boosters if needed)
• Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or signed declination
• 9-panel drug test within 1 year of start
• COVID-19 vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption
• Flu vaccination or declination required year-round

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific learning modules (~8 hours) prior to start
• Completion and signing of Standards of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreements annually
• Pyxis Acknowledgment signed prior to start (for RNs and RCPs; not applicable for this tech role)
• No scrub color requirement; scrubs provided by facility
• EPIC or Cerner experience of 6 months or more preferred (relevant for clinical staff)

Additional Notes

• N95 fit test required within 1 year prior to start; facility does not provide onsite testing
• Failed fit test requires bringing own PAPR mask (facility does not stock PAPR)
• Two satisfactory references required
