Overview

• Travel/contract role in Dunedin, Florida
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Day shift, 5x8 hours
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Home Health (1 year of experience)
• Home Health experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Driver's License
• Skilled home care experience (not private duty nursing only)
• IV skills
• Experience with high-risk diagnoses: heart failure, COPD, myocardial infarction, pneumonia, and stroke
• Post-operative care experience
• Experience with OASIS

Clinical experience and skills

• IV skills
• Wound care
• Cardiopulmonary assessment
• Basic wound care
• ABI compression dressing
• Wound vac dressing
• Pleurx/Aseptdrain care
• Foley catheter change and care
• Staple/suture removal
• Glucometer use
• Pro-time machine use
• SQ/IM injections
• Lab draw venipuncture
• PICC line or midline care and dressing change
• SQ port access/deaccess
• Experience with general medical diagnoses
• Experience with high-risk diagnoses including heart failure, COPD, MI, pneumonia, stroke
• Post-op care

Work setting and schedule details

• Home skilled visits: 6–8 per day
• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on office needs
• Shift times may vary between:

  • 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • Thursday–Monday or Friday–Tuesday
  • Alternating weekends

Additional notes

• Scrubs: any solid color
• Laptop, MiFi, and portable printer are used for internet access and documentation
• Home skilled visits are for Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients
