Contract

• 26 weeks
• Travel/contract assignment
• 40 hours per week

Schedule

• Evening shift, 5x8 hours
• 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Weekend work required
• Other shifts may be needed

Role Overview

• Medication administration
• Physical and mental health assessments
• Shift oversight of mental health therapy aides
• Evaluation of therapeutic milieu
• Patient groups
• Client documentation
• Shift charge
• Orientation of new staff
• De-escalation and restraints as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN license
• Valid driver’s license
• AHA BLS CPR certification
• NYS Mandated Reporter Training
• 2 references
• Transcript or diploma
• Competency exam
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam for RNs
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting
• Statewide Central Registry clearance

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months before start
• Drug screen within 1 year of start
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation or titers
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• COVID-19 booster preferred, not required

Additional Notes

• Initial term is 6 months, with potential extension up to 2 years
• This is an RFQ role, so placement is not guaranteed
