Registered Nurse — Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Seattle, Washington
• Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
• Contract length: 26 weeks
• Schedule choice: 3x12s or 4x12s
• Traveler choice on 13- or 26-week assignment length

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Post Partum experience
• Post Partum experience within the last year
• Experience working with high-risk patients
• Ability to manage 4 couplets (high patient census)
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• Experience with Epic
• Magnesium management experience
• Pitocin administration experience
• Postpartum hemorrhage management experience
• Substance withdrawal care experience

Clinical Expectations

• Float required to Issaquah Campus postpartum, Edmonds Campus postpartum, and Labor & Delivery for the 2nd hour of recovery
• Unit handles high-volume, high-census, high-risk obstetric postpartum patients
• Experience with magnesium, Pitocin, Foley, postpartum hemorrhage, and substance withdrawal is required
• 4 couplets is standard on the unit
• JADA experience is preferred

Scheduling

• 6 weekend days per contract

• Candidates from other Providence facilities outside Swedish may be eligible if separated for at least 3 months
