Emergency Room Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract position in San Leandro, California
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• No on-call
• Every other weekend
• Must be able to float as needed
• Expected to work 2 of 3 major upcoming holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred

Required Documents and Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID or passport
• Current resume including the last 7 years of employment
• Past 3 years of employment verification
• Education verification
• Background check
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• HHS/OIG check
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
• Badge photo and badge photo request form/agreement
• Competencies and new employee orientation modules
• Physical exam within 90 days of start
• Fit mask testing within 90 days of start
• Tdap within 10 years of start or signed declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• TB questionnaire
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B immunity documentation or declination
• Oral saliva drug screen within 30 days of start
• Medical and employee information release form
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• Color blind exam within 90 days of start

Notes

• No annual renewal required for the background check
• Onsite PAPR testing is available if fit testing is failed, with approval required
