Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Anchorage, Alaska
- Start date: ASAP
- Shift: Night, 4x10 hours, 21:00–7:30
- Ratios: 1:2
- First-timers accepted
- Weekend requirement: Saturday or Sunday every weekend
- On-call required
- Float scope: to be discussed in interview
- Block schedule: to be discussed in interview
- Locals not accepted within 50 miles
- Pending license not accepted
- Guaranteed hours: up to 36 hours; 12-hour OR nurses and OR Techs are guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Must be culturally sensitive to Native Population
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- 1 year of PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- CPAN/CAPA
- AVADE certification within 12 months of start
- Physical exam
- Fit test using an approved facility mask within 1 year of start
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- TB questionnaire
- Rubeola immunity or vaccination
- Mumps immunity or vaccination
- Rubella immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B immunity, vaccination series, or facility-specific declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
- Eye exam
- Color blind exam
