Overview

• Travel/contract hospice RN role in Augusta, Maine
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 8:00–17:00
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Home health/hospice setting with home visits and periodic office meetings
• Territory includes Coastal Wiscasset, Damariscotta, Thomaston, Warren, Bristol, and Boothbay
• Average patient load: 5–8 patients per day
• Weekly productivity expectation: 25/30
• On-call: one weekend per month plus backup call three to four times per month
• Weekend rotation: once to twice per month
• Guaranteed hours: no
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 full year of Hospice experience or 1 full year of Adult Home Health experience
• Hospice experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Current BLS/CPR issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have agency-required liability insurance
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have license in hand before start
• Must be proficient with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and have used it within the last 6 months
• Must be proficient in Oasis for RN roles
• Must complete a negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start and keep it updated annually
• Must provide proof of immunity or acceptable documentation for MMR-related requirements, Hepatitis B, Varicella, COVID, flu, and drug screening as specified by the source
• Must provide two references
• Must verify at least the two most recent employers, or the last 7 years if only one employer exists in that period
• Must complete a background check and required state/facility screenings before start
