Job Description

• Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and confirm correct exam orders.
• Adhere to confidentiality policies and demonstrate age-specific care.
• Assist patients with procedure preparation, explain procedure details, and reduce patient anxiety.
• Select appropriate technical factors and position patients properly during procedures.
• Ensure high-quality images are obtained and successfully transferred for radiologist interpretation.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of imaging equipment.
• Maintain attentiveness to equipment and patient during procedures.
• Complete procedures efficiently based on complexity and patient condition.
• Maintain all required documentation and data in accordance with MQSA standards and hospital policies.
• Perform all mammography exams (screening, diagnostic, stereotactic biopsy, and Bone Density (DXA)) independently after orientation.

Required Qualifications

• License/Certification: ARRT or NMTCB certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Valid state-specific license/certification for Mammography Technologist.
• Proof of immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella (no declinations accepted).
• 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test within required timeframes.
• Valid driver's license/state ID.
• Social Security Card.
• Criminal background check covering last 7 years, updated annually.
• Employment verification for 5 years.
• Drug screening: 10 panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (rapid drug screen not accepted).
• Completion of a skills checklist prior to start, updated annually.
• Resume or profile submission required.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience verified through employment history.
• No explicit requirement for prior travel experience mentioned.

• Must comply with all hospital policies and accreditation standards specific to mammography technologists.
• Ability to perform all mammography exams independently after orientation is essential.
