Job Opportunity: MRI Technician
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Rotating overnight shifts:
- Week 1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Required Qualifications
- MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
Health & Background Requirements
Immunizations & Health Screening
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) required
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if break >6 months
- Physician health statement signed within 365 days of start date and updated if break >6 months
- Hepatitis B vaccination strongly preferred (or proof of immunity or declination)
- Tdap vaccine preferred (within 10 years)
- If positive TB test, documentation of negative chest x-ray required
- Annual TB symptom survey if positive PPD
Background Checks
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date and updated if break >6 months
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date and updated if break >6 months
- Social Security Number trace for past 7 years
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days of start and updated annually
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, Medicaid lists) within 30 days of start and annually
- Education verification of highest degree or certification required
Submission Requirements
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state
- Two professional references within 4 years (minimum one supervisor or above in skillset)
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
- Candidate submission coversheet (current version)
Additional Notes
- All documentation must be current and updated if there is a break in service longer than 6 months
- No onsite fit testing available; must be completed prior to start
- Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documentation
This position is ideal for MRI Technicians seeking a rotating overnight schedule in a long-term assignment setting with comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
