MICU RN

Overview

• 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU in a Level III Trauma Center
• Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
• 36 hours per week
• Shifts include days, evenings, nights, and every other weekend
• Night shift does not rotate; day positions may rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a when needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• Telemetry competency

Preferred Qualifications

• MICU experience preferred for the continuous work experience requirement

Unit Details

• Patient population includes adult patients with Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock
• Attendings and Residents are present in the ICU 24 hours/day
