Job Opportunity: RN Mother/Baby (Post Partum)

Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Schedule: Flexible, 32 hours per week (8-hour shifts, 5 days a week)
Home Unit: Post Partum
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC required
COVID-19 Vaccination: Required


Job Description

Seeking experienced Post Partum Registered Nurses to provide patient-centered nursing care in collaboration with families, following ANA Standards. Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation of patients in the Post Partum unit.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of Post Partum nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; copy of diploma or transcripts must be provided
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of specialty-specific certifications and competency exams prior to or upon onboarding
  • Compliance with all required immunizations and health screenings, including but not limited to:
    • COVID-19 vaccine series or approved medical exemption
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunization or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination
    • Influenza vaccine (optional but recommended)
    • Varicella immunization or positive titer
    • Tdap immunization within the last 10 years
    • Tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or IGRA) and chest X-ray if applicable
  • Fit testing for N95 masks within one year prior to start
  • Fingerprinting completed in Rhode Island within 30 days of start
  • Valid driver’s license or state ID
  • Background checks including federal, county, national, and statewide with OIG, NSO, GSA/SAM searches within 6 months of start
  • Submission of professional references (minimum one supervisory) and employment verification for the last 5 years
  • Completion of required orientation packets, confidentiality agreements, and work attestation forms

  • No prior travel experience is explicitly required for this position.
  • No extensions beyond the stated contract end date.
  • This position requires adherence to all specified credentialing and health requirements prior to start.

This opportunity is ideal for Post Partum RNs licensed in Rhode Island who are proficient in EPIC and hold current BLS and NRP certifications, seeking a flexible 32-hour workweek in a supportive clinical environment.
