Job Opportunity: RN Surgery Circulator

Job Summary

• Provide direct nursing care following established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
• Coordinate all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with healthcare team members.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
• Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Required Qualifications

• License: Current RN license in Oklahoma with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (American Heart Association) required.
• Exams & Testing:

  • Pharmacology exam (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
  • Specialty exam in nursing surgery (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
  • Core competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years).
  • Cerner test-out and skills checklist (clinical specialty competency).
• Health & Immunizations:

  • MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted.
  • Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination.
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (mask required if declined).
  • Varicella: Proof of immunity or two vaccines; no declinations accepted.
  • Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
  • TB screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire.
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (annual).
• Background & Verification:

  • Criminal background check including SSN trace, OIG search, National Sex Offender, and others within 30 days of assignment.
  • Employment and education verification within 90 days of start.
  • Drug screening: 12-panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start and annually thereafter.
• Other Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
  • Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
  • Professional references: At least two qualifying references prior to first assignment.
  • Badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations).
