Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Interventional Technologist

Job Details

• Day shift position with 4 ten-hour shifts per week
• Weeknight and weekend call required
• Call commitment averages 7 days per month, not to exceed 10 days per month

Required Qualifications

• Current license as Cath Lab Technician in Texas
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
• Specialty competency exam with minimum 80% passing score (updated every 3 years)
• Core competencies training including HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA, and National Patient Safety Goals (updated every 3 years)
• Valid driver’s license or state ID (must not be expired and address must match licensing requirements)
• Documentation of required vaccinations and health screenings including:

  • MMR (two vaccines or positive titer, no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine (seasonal, exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof (no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap vaccine (valid for 10 years, no declinations accepted)
  • Tuberculosis screening (PPD or IGRA with chest X-ray if positive, updated annually)
  • Fit test for respiratory protection (updated annually)
• Drug screening: 12-panel urine drug screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Criminal background check including Social Security trace, OIG search, National Sex Offender registry, and others (updated annually)
• Employment and education verifications completed prior to assignment
• Professional references (at least two) required before first assignment
• Skills checklist for specialty completed within one year of start and updated annually

Additional Information

• Must complete onboarding education and attestations prior to assignment
• Physical exam or statement of good health required prior to first assignment and updated annually
• Resume/profile submission required
• Some documentation may be completed onsite as part of onboarding
