Job Opportunity: RN ICU - Travel Position
Location: Hazard, Kentucky

Job Details
- Minimum 2+ years ICU/MICU experience required
- Must have BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
- 1:2 patient ratio
- Experience with Meditech EMR system preferred
- Schedule: 36 hours on / 48 hours off
- Must hold a Kentucky or compact nursing license
- RN must reside within 100 miles of the facility to be considered
- Orientation occurs bi-weekly
- Start date is flexible, based on need
- Driver’s license required for submission
Contract Length
- 12 weeks
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA card front and back if not electronic
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): AHA card front and back if not electronic
- NIH Certification: Required for RN specialties except OR
- Nursys Verification: Within 30 days of start
- Kentucky or Compact License: Valid for KY ARH facilities
Required Health & Immunization Documentation
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Proof of completed series or approved religious/medical exemption with documentation
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer prior to start; if low/equivocal, first dose required to start, second dose within 28-30 days
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, proof of 3 vaccine series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Proof of 2 vaccinations or positive titer prior to start; if low/equivocal, first dose required to start, second dose within 28-30 days
- Tdap: Valid within 10 years; declinations accepted (Td not accepted)
- Influenza Vaccine: Required October-March; must be administered on or after August 1; medical/religious exemptions require approval
- TB Quantiferon Test: Within one year prior to start; annual update required
- Positive PPD: If applicable, requires chest X-ray within last 5 years and TB questionnaire
- Annual Physical/Health Statement: Signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP within 1 year prior to start, stating clear to work without restrictions
Background & Professional Requirements
- ARH 20/20 Background Check: Must be within 30 days prior to start; includes criminal, SSN trace, sex offender, SAM, OIG checks
- ARH Submission Packet: Minimum 1-2 years experience depending on specialty
- ARH Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry: Verification within 30 days prior to start
- 2 Professional References: One must be a charge nurse or higher, one must be a supervisor
- ARH Assignment Confirmation: Must be submitted within 24 hours of offer acceptance
Competency & Skills Verification
- ARH Skills Checklist: Unit-specific, within one year prior to start, renewed annually
- ARH Competency Exam: Passing score of 80% or higher, within one year prior to start
- ARH EKG Exam / Telemetry Exam: Passing score of 80% or higher, within one year prior to start
- ARH Core Competencies: Includes HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives; renewed annually
Additional Notes
- Candidates should not be submitted to more than one job at a time
- Assignment confirmation must be uploaded within 24 hours of accepting the offer
- Must complete ARH Employee Health Attestation Form prior to start
- All documentation and verifications must be current and compliant with ARH policies
