Respiratory Therapist - RRT

Location: Mullica Hill, New Jersey
Shift: Days 12 (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 10 weeks

Job Overview

Responsible for delivering patient care through the Respiratory Care process, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care aimed at achieving desired patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in New Jersey
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, including experience within the last year
• Previous travel experience
• Certifications required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart Association

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting and online HealthStream modules to be completed by Monday of start week.
• In-person classes typically held Tuesday through Thursday at various locations; candidates must check HealthStream for class locations.
• POCT class attendance required outside of orientation week.
• Unit-based orientation schedule provided by manager.
• Badge ID appointment must be completed in person during orientation; photo submissions are not accepted. Badge required for clock-ins.

Work Schedule & Time Off

• Every other weekend schedule, as needed.
• Holiday schedule: every other holiday.
• Return to work (RTO) allowed no more than 3 days.

Additional Requirements & Compliance

• Must comply with background checks, drug screening, employment and educational verifications, and various health screenings and vaccinations including COVID-19, Influenza, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and TB screening.
• Required to complete competency exams and core mandatory annual training.
• Must adhere to confidentiality and employment attestation forms.

This position offers a structured schedule with comprehensive orientation and requires a well-qualified, experienced respiratory therapist with prior travel experience and current licensure and certifications.
