Job Description

• Minimum 3 years of experience required to scrub and circulate in the OR.
• Expert-level experience (3+ years) needed with Orthopedic Spine, Tobots, and Trauma patients.
• Must have experience with Da Vinci robotic surgical system.
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, 4 shifts per week (10-hour shifts).
• Weekend/On-call requirement: One weekend on call per month (36 hours total; 24 hours Saturday, 12 hours Sunday).
• Scrubs provided by the hospital.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Jersey.
• Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience in Orthopedics and Trauma care.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or knowledge.

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting and online training modules to be completed by the first day.
• In-person classes typically scheduled Tuesday through Thursday at various locations.
• Unit-based orientation schedule provided by manager.
• Badge ID appointment must be completed in person during orientation; photo submissions are not accepted. Badge required for clock-ins.

Additional Requirements

• Background check, drug screen, educational and employment verification.
• Compliance with mandatory trainings including COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine, Hepatitis B, MMR, TdaP, Varicella, and others.
• Various screenings and attestations including criminal background, sanctions, and health attestations.
