Overview

• OR RN role in Morgantown, West Virginia
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift pattern includes 12-hour and 8-hour day and afternoon shifts
• 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Must be able to circulate independently
• Must be able to take call as required
• Must be able to work some weekends
• Must have a driver’s license with an address outside 50 miles from the facility
• Must include an unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license with submission

Preferred

• Strong ambulatory experience for 2W

Unit Details

• 33 total OR suites: 23 on 5 North and 10 on 2 West
• Both areas can do outpatient cases, with most outpatient cases done on 2W
• Floating is only between 5N and 2W, depending on experience
• Orientation is provided to both 5N and 2W over 2-3 shifts, including EPIC orientation

Clinical Setting

• Level I Trauma Center with 24/7 Poly Trauma response
• Service lines include ORTHO, NEURO, Xi Robotics, Bariatric Program, ENT, and Ophthalmology
• Adult Heart Team is in a different location
• Pediatric Heart Team is separate
• Kidney Transplants are a separate closed team

Schedule and Call

• Day shifts: 6:30a-7p or 6:30a-3p
• Afternoon shifts: 9a-9:30p, 10:30a-11p, 9a, 10:30a, or 2:30p start times
• Expected to take 20-30 hours of standby call in a 4-week period
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Holiday call is open for discussion

Additional Notes

• Scrubbing is not required
• Travelers would not be placed in the Charge Nurse/House Supervisor role
• OR Techs are used, but current needs are only for RNs
• Scrubs are provided
• Basic OR equipment includes Bovie machines, forced air warmers, Neptune suction, drill consoles, Xi Robotics, Ligasure, and Argon Beam
