RN II - Tele Float Pool - MedSurg/CV/Neuro

Overview

• Travel contract for an MS/Tele float pool in Arizona.
• 13-week contract.
• Nights, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week.
• Floating is required, including between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses.

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS.
• Active ACLS.
• Active Arizona RN license or compact license.
• 2+ years of current tele experience.
• Must be able to titrate drips.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting, with 2 maximum attempts.
• Must pass a Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
• COVID vaccine required, or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS.

Unit Details

• Tele float pool includes Tele and MedSurg units.
• Floating may include ICU, Cardiac Tele, all Tele units, MedSurg, and holding areas such as Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, or hallway.
• Tele units use centralized tele and require RN EKG interpretation.
• MedSurg/Tele units include cardiac drips such as Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, and Dobutamine to titrate down only.
• No pediatrics; patients are 15 years and older.

Schedule and Work Environment

• Every other weekend required on Tele units.
• MedSurg units require 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period.
• Floating can occur mid-shift.
• Orientation includes 2 days on the floor for Tele units and 2 shifts on the floor for MedSurg units.
