Unit Details
- Unit: 4th Floor East Wing
- Level of Care: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Number of Beds: 55
- Patient Population: Adults primarily; pediatric patients 15 years and older rarely
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4 (Days and Nights)
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Shift Times: 06:30-18:30, 18:30-06:30
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Nursing Assistant Support: Yes
- Charge Nurse: Yes
- Additional Unit Support: Educator, Care Managers, Social Workers, Dieticians, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy

- RN Orientation includes a pass/fail exam requiring a 90% score to continue
- Driver’s license required at submittal to verify candidate location within 50 miles radius
- Float assignments expected, ideally to Medical-Surgical areas based on unit needs
- Focus on patient experience through hourly rounding and responsiveness
- Unit culture values teamwork and the ability to manage daily unit operations effectively
- Scrub colors: Navy Blue for RNs, Ceil Blue for CNAs

- Valid RN license for Nebraska
