Job Description

• Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup
• Calibrate and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and hemodynamics monitoring equipment
• Pull supplies, set up sterile tables
• Scrub in and assist physicians with procedures including device exchange, guidewire manipulation, catheter placement, balloon and stent deployment
• Manage radiation dose and imaging angles
• Clean, restock, and turnover procedure rooms

Typical Procedures

• IR: Port placements, liver biopsy, IVC placements, G-tube placements, PICC & central line placements, neuro procedures (coiling, thrombectomy, embolizations) with anesthesia support
• Vascular: Femoral-popliteal bypass, AAA repair, carotid procedures, EVAR, angiograms, and more

Work Environment

• 7 procedure rooms total (4 Cath Lab/EP & 3 IR/Vascular)
• Average 20+ cases per day across all rooms
• Daily staffing: IR team includes 1 RN, 2 techs, anesthesia supports neuro cases
• Shifts: Four 10-hour days per week (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) plus call; 5 eight-hour days (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) may be considered
• Call: Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotation approximately once every 3 weekdays and once every 3 weekends
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Floating: Hybrid for vascular cases
• Orientation: 2-3 full days of training/shadowing, buddy call first week, then solo

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience (highest required years of experience)
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Experience with EMR systems such as Merge and Cerner, and Siemens equipment
• Must not have worked at this facility within the last 6 months

Additional Information

• Provided scrubs; clinicians may wear their own scrub caps
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
• Department includes 7 procedure rooms with a high volume of cases and a multidisciplinary team
