Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - LTC

Location: Beaver Dam, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Nursing Home attached to hospital
• 70 beds, majority private
• EMR system: ECS

Patient Population

• Dementia
• Frail elderly
• Rehabilitation patients

Job Duties

• Charting and assessments
• Charge nurse duties
• Medication administration
• Clinical skills including IVs, catheters, ostomy care, etc.

Staffing Ratios

• RN: 1:20
• LPN: 1:20
• CNA: 1:8

Work Environment

• No telemetry monitors or RN strip reading required
• Interdisciplinary team includes therapy, administration, social workers, activities, dietary, housekeeping
• Respiratory therapist on-site 24/7
• Pharmacy and medication dispensing system on-site
• Block schedule with 8-hour shifts
• Day and evening shifts staffed with 4 nurses and 7 aides; night shift staffed with 2 nurses and 3-4 aides
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: available for at least half of holidays during assignment
• No on-call or standby required
• Floating between units required
• Dress code: any solid color, clean and professional

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license for Wisconsin
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience working with elderly patients required
• Experience with IVs and titratable drips required

Additional Notes

• Must note if previously worked for this facility; if so, last assignment must have ended at least 6 months prior
• Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
