Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - Omaha, Nebraska

Position Overview

• Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
• Location: Omaha, Nebraska
• Contract Length: 18 weeks
• Work Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (8-hour days plus call)
• Shifts: Set daily schedule, no self-scheduling except limited on-call self-scheduling
• Call Requirements:

  • Weeknights: 1-2 nights per week
  • Weekends: 1 weekend per month
  • Holidays: Rotating
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
• Floating: Yes, may float to other campuses within Omaha as needed

Required Certifications & Experience

• Certifications:

  • ARRT or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI
  • BLS (AHA)
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience (including left heart caths, stent placement, ICD, Pacemaker)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required, but preferred

Job Duties

• Assist MD in cath lab procedures (scrubbing)
• Monitoring and documentation during cases
• Work primarily with adult inpatient and outpatient populations diagnosed with CAD, AMI, etc.

Equipment & Systems

• EMR: EPIC
• Cath Lab Equipment: Siemens cath, Siemens sensis, Apollo, Phillips IVUS

Additional Information

• Number of labs: 1
• Average cases per day: 1-3
• Orientation: 1-3 days per campus (3 campuses total)
• Dress Code: Hospital supplied scrubs
• Radius Rule: Must live within 50 miles and not be currently employed part-time, full-time, or PRN with any associated facilities
• Fingernail Policy: Artificial nails prohibited; refusal to comply may result in contract termination
• Driver’s license required to verify distance compliance

On-site Support

• Supervisor present in lab during shifts
• No charge nurse assignment duties

This position is ideal for a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech with at least 1 year of experience who is comfortable with a structured schedule, on-call responsibilities, and working across multiple campuses within a 30-minute response radius.
